THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO – Taylor Jenkins Reid

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was a mixture of both fiction and non-fiction, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Once you finish reading this book, you can open a new door in your brain with a different perspective from other doors and my door opened when I read, “You have to find a job that makes your heart feel big, instead of one that makes you feel small.” Oscar winner Evelyn Hugo, who began her career in the 1950s at the age of 16, has been the most popular actress for decades and most famous for her gowns. She was the person who sacrifice ANYTHING for her career, fame, and money but ended up realising all she wanted was a happy family, the one who lost all her loved ones and ended her life by herself. She was also the person who has been married seven times. This book begins with a question: “Who was the real love of Evelyn Hugo’s life?” We know that she chose one of the seven husbands, but she doesn’t. And that’s where the book peaked. But remember,”A star is always and forever a star”. Her life story is heart breaking, yet beautiful and will keep you captivated until the very last page. And as Evelyn says, “Never let anyone make you feel ordinary”.
